Research Opportunity for Breast Cancer Survivors at EMMC

Researchers at Eastern Maine Medical Center’s CancerCare are enrolling volunteers for a study on memory and concentration problems after chemotherapy. No travel to Bangor is necessary.

If you were treated for breast cancer with chemotherapy and are six months past your treatment, you may qualify to participate in this research.

Participants will be assigned to a brief cognitive behavioral program that teaches compensation skills for memory and attention problems, or to a more traditional supportive therapy program.

Participants from rural areas need not travel to Bangor. Video conferencing is available at health centers closer to you. Research clinicians at EMMC can work with you using this technology.

Every effort will be made to work around each volunteer’s schedule.
